First-Generation Collegians
First Generation Collegians (FGC) are supported by the Department of 一年级的课程 (碎“五年规划). First-Generation Collegians are first-generation students, 教师, and staff whose parents did not attend college before they attended. 碎“五年规划, first-generation 教师 and staff engage first-generation college students and provide academic, 社会, and mentorship support throughout their experience at Lindenwood. All students who identify as a first-generation student are welcome to be a member of the First-Generation Collegians. FGC meets on a regular basis throughout the school year.
LindenFirst First-Generation Summer Experience
The LindenFirst First-Generation Summer Experience is open to all first-time first-generation students. Participants will be able to learn more about the campus environment before their other freshman peers and will be the most resourced students on campus as an automatic member of the First-Generation Collegians Program.
This experience focuses strongly on engagement through career exploration, 同伴互动, and support from 教师 and staff and is exclusive to first-gen students. 学生 participating in the LindenFirst Experience will be enrolled in a 1-credit hour course that will count toward an elective credit. This course will be offered the week prior to New Student 取向 (NSO) and will include interactive activities and excursions in and around the greater St. 路易地区.
